  1. Once the deposit is received, the Waynesville United Methodist Church Wedding Team will assign a Wedding Team Assistant, who will contact you to tour the facilities, discuss the church facilities that you will use, and be present to assist you on the day of your rehearsal and the day of your wedding.  Feel free to ask your Assistant any questions you might have during the planning of your wedding.

has a seating capacity of approximately 190 guests, plus an overflow area that can accommodate approximately 30-50 additional guests, depending on how chairs are placed.

For pew decoration there are 22 individual pews. Please note that pew sizes vary.

The Wedding Rehearsal

The plan for the wedding is important, but few plans are more important than the rehearsal. This is where each participant in the wedding is advised of placement and responsibility in the service, and the ceremony is rehearsed. The rehearsal should take place the day before the wedding if possible.  It is assumed that sufficient pre-planning has taken place so that the rehearsal takes no more than one (1) hour.  All wedding participants are expected to attend the rehearsal and arrive on time. Members of our Wedding Team will be present to assist you during the rehearsal and wedding.

Photography

The church is open daily at 8 AM. The day of the wedding, you may enter the church with the wedding party to take wedding photos before the ceremony. Photographers may feel free to take pictures any time; however, flash photography is prohibited during the actual ceremony. While formal poses for wedding pictures may be taken following the service, experience has shown that it is a courtesy to your guests to limit the time for such picture taking so as not to keep wedding guests waiting over prolonged periods of time for the beginning of the reception.

The fee schedule is available by contacting the church.
